The urban and architectural idea of the Piliamiestis project is like the confluence of the Nemunas and Neris rivers itself – it combines two ideas (“rivers”): a whirlpool and a river slope.

The idea of a whirlpool – flowing water of the two rivers creates a whirlpool. Buildings are arranged in a spiral (vortex) and the main footpaths are formed.

The idea of the river slope – the slopes of the rivers flowing through Kaunas adorn the city with greenery, the buildings in the quarter are arranged in ascending order from the river, green terraces and green roofs are designed, which form the image of a green slope.
